Random Sculptures A

This series explores the possibilities and limitations of random digital sculpting and considers the question: How much technology and little idea is needed to create aesthetic forms? The process does not begin with an idea and sketching or the question of what it is. Rather, it is a playful act between man and machine, following intuition and chance. As long as you feed the machine with shapes and parameters, the math shows you something unexpected, sometimes something fantastic—the result: serendipity. The question of what it can become in the real world—a piece of art, a decorative or functional object—is left to the end.
